Helena is a novelist from the UK who got her first publishing deal at age 13. Since then she has completed her War of Angels series, started university, and written her latest book, a standalone novel premiering in the spring.

In this wide-ranging interview we dive into the process of writing a novel and getting published. One of my favorite moments is Helena's story about her first meeting with the publishing company. We also discuss Helena's evolving awareness of an author's social responsibilities when crafting a narrative.
